What's up, sickos! It's yours ghoulie, Rob Sins. It's been both an exciting year for us in Face The Wheel as well as a tumultuous one with the exit of our most recent drummer Kaleb. We're happy to say however that we can now announce that we have found a new drummer. His name is Aaron, and he brings a ton of drumming and metal experience from various metal sub-genres. We were really blown away by his drumming chops, and he also meshed well with everybody personally. I know that you will be blown away by the added level of complexity his drumming will bring to the old songs as well as new ones.
Besides that, we're trying to stay as active as possible on our socials. Wouldn't want you fucks going without a steady stream of our horrible and soul-mutilating content. We have a lot going on behind the scenes right now. We have an awesome contest going for our show on July 20th in Jonesboro, Arkansas at Metal Mayhem Fest. The official contest rules are in the blog post before this one. Essentially the gist is that you go to the show, buy our new EP “Penumbra” for $9.99 at the merch table, and then use a provided piece of paper and pencil to draw us a “Cum Pig”. We'll choose the coolest one at 10PM and pay you $250 cash.
Now that we have another drummer, we'll resume booking as many shows as possible. Please check back to our calendar on the home page to see other upcoming dates near you. We're also still holding a lot of projects in the pipeline to move forward with such as the Face The Wheel RPG videogame that will come on a flash drive. The game will feature an entire new EP within it, and it will come with a copy of the album and album artwork on the flash drive as well. We'll be doing a fundraising campaign to try to recuperate some of the cost. We aim to sell our merch as cheap as possible while providing you with content that you can enjoy whether its smashing your skull to a song or beating the fuck out of digital enemies. We have tons of merch in the merch store as well as we are constantly adding more. Check back often! We're currently in search of a deal with a smaller weed company to secure a Face The Wheel brand marijuana product. Needless to say, we're in it to make the band last. Our goal is to reach a static level of income for the band. Not get rich. Just be able to ensure that we can continue to entertain for year to come.
Of course, we're still doing our Friday Night Retro Game Stream Band Chat Fuckstravaganzas from 8PM-10PM CST on Facebook. We stream ourselves playing different retro games as we talk all things weird, crazy, and metal. So if you find the time, join us.
